Health and Family Welfare

JANANI JANSHAKTI SANGATHAN is committed to promoting the health, well-being, and overall quality of life of individuals, families, and communities. Through our Health and Family Welfare Department, our organisation undertakes charitable, preventive, promotive, and community-based health initiatives with the objective of ensuring that quality healthcare becomes accessible, affordable, and inclusive, particularly for economically weaker and marginalized sections of society. These goals are consistent with the broader objectives of India's public health policy and the National Health Mission.

The Department works towards strengthening public health awareness and improving community health through programmes relating to:

  • Preventive and promotive healthcare;
  • Maternal, new born, child, and adolescent health;
  • Family welfare and reproductive health awareness;
  • Nutrition, sanitation, hygiene, and safe drinking water awareness;
  • Immunization awareness and public health education;
  • Prevention and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases;
  • Mental health awareness and psychosocial support;
  • Health camps, medical screening, and referral services;
  • Blood donation, organ donation, and voluntary health awareness campaigns;
  • Health education through seminars, workshops, publications, and community outreach programmes;
  • Health support during natural disasters and humanitarian emergencies; and
  • Any other activities conducive to improving public health and family welfare.

Our organisation also seeks to improve the health status of vulnerable populations by encouraging healthy lifestyles, preventive healthcare practices, and community participation. Special emphasis is placed on women, children, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, economically weaker sections, and underserved rural and urban communities.

To achieve its objectives, JANANI JANSHAKTI SANGATHAN welcomes collaboration with government departments, hospitals, medical colleges, public health institutions, accredited healthcare professionals, non-governmental organisations, research institutions, corporate bodies, charitable foundations, and other stakeholders for the implementation of health and family welfare programmes, subject to applicable laws and regulations. Such collaboration is encouraged in national health programmes to strengthen community health delivery.

Our Department believes that good health is a fundamental prerequisite for human dignity, sustainable development, and social progress. Accordingly, it remains dedicated to serving society through compassionate healthcare initiatives, public awareness, community empowerment, and voluntary service, with the ultimate goal of building healthier families and stronger communities.
